I get so excited when I get inquiries for wedding cakes, there’s something so special about creating something for somebody else’s memorable day that they are going to cherish forever. There are so many options when it comes to choosing a wedding cake and that’s the beauty of it, from the colours to the flavours to the flowers the options are almost endless for a bride and groom.
The cake is always such a amazing piece of decoration or centrepiece for a wedding, it’s so special to see everything come together on a day when I set up my cakes.
- What good advice would you give to a new bride about her special day?
When it comes to the cake choose a flavour you and your husband love (its your special day ), in terms of style its always good to have a few pictures for inspo so you have a vision of how you want it to look
- What is the most popular service or product you offer?
Everyone loves a two or three tier cake for a wedding, visually I think it has a more of a ‘wow’ impact and it obviously feeds a lot more people
- What is the best inclusion in a ceremony or reception you have ever seen?
I recently travelled to Victoria to do my cousins wedding cake, I ended up cutting the cake with them which was interesting!
- Tell us about you as a wedding Specialist?
I am a local Lennox Head mother of three young girls, juggling a busy family life.
Every cake is unique and is made using free range eggs, local and seasonal produce where ever possible. Lennox Head is just a stone’s throw from beautiful Byron Bay and Just Add Flower supplies cakes throughout the Byron and Ballina Shires.

I love doing wedding cakes and my creations have been the focal point of many couples’ special and memorable day. Each cake is a ‘one off’ creation so each is special and unique. I collaborate with local florists to secure the freshest most beautiful flowers to decorate my work.
